Tupi or not Tupi: Cannibalism and the Study of International Relations

The book  Researching South-South Development Cooperation: The Politics of Knowledge Production, edited by Emma Mawdsley, Elsje Fourie and Wiebe Nauta, contains a chapter by Igarapé’s International Peace and Security Coordinator, Adriana Erthal Abdenur. In “Devouring International Relations,” Dr. Abdenur draws on Brazil’s anthropophagy movement as a methodology to suggest new paths in the study of international cooperation. The paper was originally presented as a keynote address delivered at the University of Cambridge under the title “Tupi or not Tupi: Cannibalism and the Study of International Relations”
