OKA – a Compass of Public Services is an Android and iOS mobile phone app for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, as well as internally displaced persons in Brazil.


The app allows users to know their rights and explains how to access federal public services as well as municipal services in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), São Paulo (SP, Boa Vista (RR) and Ecuador.

The programs mapped out by OKA cover the following categories:

• documentation

• housing

• education

• employment

• health

• social assistance

• legal assistance


The application also includes:

• support communities

• emergency contacts

The application can be used even without internet access.
