Alex Salgado

Alex Salgado specializes in software development. He holds a degree in Computer Science, an MS in Computer Graphics and an MBA in Project Management. He is also a financial coach and university professor.

Over the past 15 years, Alex has worked in the technology teams of large companies, such as BRQ and Chemtech Siemens, and developed projects for clients like Coca-Cola, TV Globo, Globo.com, Valley, ONS, Siemens USA / Norway and Universal Music.

Passionate about technology and innovation, Alex is the creator of the websites ProgSchool.net, Bizuh.com and TransitonaPonte.com. The latter has over 22,000 followers on Twitter who, like him, need to cross the Rio-Niterói bridge daily and make decisions in real time about traffic. In 2014, Alex took part in the “Hour of Code”, helping to organize a local event to teach Computer Science to people of all ages.

At Igarapé, Alex develops technology that helps increase public safety and both prevent and reduce violence.

In his spare time, he practices yoga and meditation.
