Inês Mindlin Lafer currently manages the Betty and Jacob Lafer Institute and works as a consultant and coach developing philanthropic initiatives and public policies focused on young people.

She began her career as a Psychologist at SESI and worked for the Kairós Desenvolvimento Social as a consultant in social work on local government projects, especially programs involving children and teens. She was program manager at the Maria Cecília Souto Vidigal Foudation, a technical assistant at the City Committee for Human Rights in São Paulo and project manager at IDIS (the Institute for the Development of Social Investiment).

Inês Mindlin Lafer erned a degree in Psychology from PUC – São Paulo, did graduate work in psychoanalysis (PUC – COGEAE) and human rights (São Paulo University School of Law – USP) and holds a master´s degree in Public Admnistration (FGV-SP).
