At the Latin America WEF

The Institute’s executive director Ilona Szabó delivered a lecture at the World Economic Forum summit in Latin America, hosted by the government of Sao Paulo.

The Igarapé Institute has a wide-ranging partnership with the World Economic Forum. The Institute’s executive director Ilona Szabó is a Young Global Leader and the research director sits on two Future Councils – for Urbanization and International Security – and is an appointed adviser to the Global Risk Report, the WEF’s flagship publication. The Institute also regularly contributes to the global summit (Davos) as well as regional summits, including the regional forum in Latin America in March.

Ilona Szabo participated in a panel called “Revolutionizing Public Security” along with representatives of the Latin American program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Brazilian Fraternity for the Assistance of Convicts (FBAC), Valdeci Ferreira
