Annual Report 2025
In 2025, the Igarapé Institute helped move environmental crime, nature finance, and climate-security cooperation from the margins of global debate to the center of decision-making. In a year marked by growing geopolitical fragmentation, escalating risks across the Amazon Basin, and COP30 in Belém, Igarapé worked with governments, multilateral organizations, the private sector and civil society to turn evidence into action.
The Institute generated hard impacts including advancing zero-deforestation pathways, strengthening responses to organized environmental crime, unlocking responsible investment in nature-based solutions, and new forms of international cooperation for a safer, more just, and more ,sustainable world.
