Dandara Tinoco

Communication and Content Manager

Dandara Tinoco has a master’s degree in Public Policy, Strategies and Development from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Communication and Content Manager at Igarape Institute, she is also a member of the Penal Policy Management Laboratory (LabGEPEN), from University of Brasília (UnB).

She researches and develops communication strategies in the areas of public security and criminal justice. She is the author of the strategic article “Work in Prison and Life in Freedom: Opportunities and challenges of the National Policy” and co-author of “At the exit door, entry into work: Policies for expanding the employment of prisoners and ex-prisoners in Rio de Janeiro” and “Work and Freedom: Why employment and income for women can interrupt violence cycles”. She coordinated Igarape’s campaign “Instinct for Life”, aimed on violence reduction in Latin America.
