Earth4All Brazil
The Earth4All Brazil report, released ahead of COP30 in Belém, argues that Brazil’s climate leadership depends not only on its ecological and energy assets but also on strengthening social trust and institutional cohesion. Using system dynamics modeling and expert input, the study outlines two contrasting scenarios: a “Giant Leap” driven by coordinated reforms in poverty, inequality, empowerment, food, and energy; and a “Too Little Too Late” path marked by incrementalism and rising social tensions.
Key findings highlight that fairness and inclusion accelerate decarbonization and resilience. Survey data show strong public demand for climate action and equity, yet low confidence in governmental efforts. Policy recommendations include progressive taxation, co-managed climate-poverty funds, and sustainability-linked rural credit.
The report calls for Brazil to lead a Global Climate and Nature Council, aligning domestic ambition with global governance. It concludes that climate stability, social cohesion, and prosperity must advance together to avoid ecological tipping points and ensure long-term wellbeing.
