Igarapé Institute will be present at COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, following negotiations and (co)organizing events. The main objectives of the Institute are to advance its agendas on climate and nature finance, support a just transition to low-carbon economies, and connect the climate and biodiversity agendas. These efforts align with the important global milestones of this year, such as COP16 on Biodiversity, which took place in Cali, the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro from November 18 to 19, and COP30 on Climate, which will be held in Belém in 2025.

In addition to its participation, the Igarapé Institute will host three signature events that promote discussions on critical issues to address the climate crisis, including the synergies between G20 processes and COPs to mobilize finance for climate, nature, and sustainable development; the role of Brazilian global leadership in a green and just economic transition; and strategies to scale up green enterprises and unlock responsible investments in the Amazon Basin and beyond.
