Gabriela Cardim
Gabriela Cardim has a degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and is currently doing a Master in Public Health at Fiocruz. At Igarapé, she works on the International Peace and Security Division, in the area of Forced Migration. At Fiocruz, she is part of the study group on Migration, Refuge, Gender and Childhood. During graduation, she was part of the Geocurrent research group at the Naval War College (EGN), in which she published articles on crisis and conflict in the sub-Saharan Africa region from a geopolitical bias. Moreover, she presented papers at the II Southeast Regional Meeting of ABED (ERABED-Southeast), at the II Seminar of the International Security and National Defense Laboratory at the Superior School of War (ESG), at the Gender, Feminism and Justice Systems Seminar at the National Faculty of Law ( FND – UFRJ). among others. At the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences (IFCS-UFRJ) she participated in laboratories of studies on the themes: “Nationalisms and Identity”, “Postwar Trauma Studies”, “Decolonization, Contemporary History and Oral History”. Her research focuses in themes such as gender, refuge, public health, mental health and international security.
