The acceleration of climate change has made the future come sooner. Extreme events destroy lives, places and hopes. Now is the time to move in defense of current and future generations. At Igarapé, we started this movement in 2017 and have since been dedicated ourselves to driving the green and just transition towards a new economy.

We work to expand climate finance, and to include nature protection and restoration as climate mitigation and adaptation solutions. Our aim is to contribute to the ecological transition with evidence-based responses, strengthened by synergies between climate and nature, and by effective climate governance.
